George Painter of the Camp Speers YMCA spoke about the benefits of the unique outdoor programs and activities at Camp Speers in the Poconos.

Aside from more basic experiences found in camping; knot tying, s'more building and camp songs, teens age 13-16 gain the skills needed to cope with life obstacles and challenges that arise during adolescent years and into adulthood.
