EXCLUSIVE: Woman Speaks Out After Home Run Ball Snatched From Her At Phillies Game

By Syma Chowdhry

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- "I was robbed!"

Bases weren't the only thing stolen at the Phillies game Sunday.

"I'm thinking, 'Oh my gosh, it is coming right towards me.'  I reached over the fence as best I could and put the glove out."

Joyce Kiner has been to several Phillies games, but she has never caught a homerun ball until now.

But a man nearly body checked her for Maikel Franco's first career homerun ball during the eight inning.

"I can't believe you did that! You dog! I was just like really? I was thinking to myself, really? Nothing, he kept his back to me and walked away."

Joyce and her husband Dan were celebrating their 32nd anniversary and got last minute tickets to the game.

Both are life-long Phillies fans.

Moments before the ball came flying into their section, Dan got up to go to the concession stand.

"I gave my glove to my wife and I told her to defend herself."

The grandmother of three is only 4'10" and was no match for this bully.

"If only my husband was here, this would never have happened. He would have had it because he is 6'5."

The Gloucester County couple didn't argue with the man, but the internet fought back.

Joyce spent the night reading some comments on the web.

"That lady was robbed! He called him some names."

Dan says Philly fans get a bad rep and this incident adds to that.

"It's not helping things, all you got to do is read what is out there on the net."

Joyce has this message to the man and other fans who would steal a home run ball here at Citizens Bank Park: "Chivalry is dead."

She adds, "How would he feel if someone did that to his sister, his daughter or his mom? It was just not nice."

Joyce would accept an apology from the man,  but says, "You can't fix stupid."

Joyce will be on Eyewitness News this morning Tuesday at 6:30 a.m.

Members of the Phillies organization are also going to be here to meet with her.
