Woman Sentenced To 2.5 Years For Torching 2 Philadelphia Police Vehicles During 2020 Racial Injustice Protests

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Jenkintown woman charged with torching two police vehicles during the racial injustice protests in Philadelphia learns her punishment. On Thursday, a judge sentenced Lore Elisabeth Blumenthal to two-and-a-half years in prison.

Federal prosecutors say Blumenthal is this masked woman throwing a piece of a flaming object at a police cruiser, following the murder of George Floyd in May 2020.

The 35-year-old has been incarcerated since the incident.
