Winning Powerball numbers for Wednesday's $1 billion jackpot
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Los Angeles once again hit some lottery luck Wednesday night.
For the second time in eight months, a California player hit all six Powerball numbers to win a jackpot over $1 billion. In November, a Los Angeles player hit all six numbers for a $2 billion jackpot.
Wednesday's jackpot equals out to be a lump sum payment of $516.8 million before taxes.

Still, check those Powerball tickets as seven other tickets sold across the country matched five numbers.
Two winning tickets sold in New Jersey matched all five numbers. If that's you, that would earn you a cool $1 million prize.
And one person in Pennsylvania bought a ticket that's worth $2 million.

The winning numbers for the $1 billion jackpot, one of the largest in the game's history, were announced Wednesday night.
Here are the winning numbers: 7, 10, 11, 13, 24 and the Powerball number is 24.
The Powerball isn't the only massive lottery prize this week. The Mega Millions jackpot winnings grew to an estimated $720 million after there were no winners Tuesday.
Locally, a $10,000 Mega Millions ticket was sold in Gloucester County, New Jersey.
The next Mega Millions drawing will be Friday at 11 p.m.
