Whole Foods Recalls Dozens Of Items From Local Stores
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – According to the Food and Drug Administration, Whole Foods has recalled dozens of items prepared with a supplier's ground cumin spice ingredient that may have contained undeclared peanut.
The FDA says people with an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the products.
Officials say at this time no allergic reactions have been reported and the items recalled have been pulled from the shelves.
The products that contained ground cumin spice subject to the recall were sold from January 14-February 6.
The FDA says not all items or products were sold in all store locations. The affected items items were sold in stores in CT, KY, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, VA, and Washington, D.C.
