Roads starting to clear in West Windsor; drivers advised to use caution, police say
WEST WINDSOR, N.J. (CBS) -- Residents in West Windsor, Mercer County, are asked to use caution when driving due to flooded roadways that are beginning to clear, police said on Tuesday.
Police previously issued a shelter-in-place due to the severely flooded roadways but are now saying roads should clear within the next hour.
Authorities reminded drivers not to drive down a roadway if it's covered in water and to turn around instead.
Parts of the Philadelphia region are under a thunderstorm watch until 11 p.m., the National Weather Service said.

Authorities said no injuries or structural damage had been reported yet. They said a tree caught fire after being struck by lightning and many wires were brought down from the storm.
Police added that lightning had also struck several houses in West Windsor, and the fire department had been dispatched.
Pedestrian tunnels were temporarily closed at the Princeton Junction station because of flooding, but NJ Transit Northeast Corridor posted on X just before 8 p.m. that they had reopened.
Officials said worse weather conditions are arriving in the area by 9 p.m., so residents should get to their destinations safely and quickly and stay in for the night.
