Double shooting in North Philadelphia: Police

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Two men were shot in North Philadelphia on Friday night, police say. The shooting happened on the 1600 block of West Lehigh Avenue around 11:45 p.m.

Authorities say a 42-year-old man was found just a few blocks away, on the 2600 block of Bancroft Street. The man was suffering from a gunshot wound to the right leg.

He was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was placed in critical condition.

Another man, 28, walked into Temple University Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest.  He was placed in stable condition.

Police have not made any arrests, but they have recovered a weapon.

Investigators gave little information about the suspects. One offender is a man and he was wearing a face mask. The other one, a man as well, was wearing dark clothing.
