Week 5 DFS Advice
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- So all the employees are out, huh? This is our week!
Let's stay hot.
Here is my Week 4 advice.
Andrew Porter on the Pulse Of Philly's DFS Podcast:
QB Plays (Price: DraftKings / FanDuel)
Matt Ryan vs. WAS (8300/6700): Washington has a banged up secondary and we saw Sam Bradford and the Eagles extend the field on them with Riley Cooper and Miles Austin. Ryan is a stud and home and has Julio Jones.
QB Value
Alex Smith (6900/5500): At home against the Bears, who are tied for second worst in the NFL allowing 2.5 TD passes per game. It's a yummy matchup, even for Alex Smith.
RB Plays
LeVeon Bell (9000/8500): No one has a higher floor than Bell, especially in PPR formats, especially at San Diego. He's probably worth it, if you can find a way to get him into your lineup.
Justin Forsett (7200/5800): Forsett is more attractive in PPR leagues, but he has a plus matchup here at home against the Browns, who are banged up. CLE is giving up an NFL worst 139 rushing yards per game and Forsett got going with 150 last week. Furthermore, with Steve Smith likely out, the Ravens should display a large dose of Forsett on offense.
RB Value
CJ Spiller (3800 on draftkings): Eagles LB's banged up, we saw Spiller become a factor last week in the passing game. If he ever has DeMeco Ryans on him, yikes.
WR Plays
Julio Jones (price proof): I'm not betting against him. Who the heck is WAS going to use to cover him?
Alshon Jeffrey (7600/6500): If he plays, monitor his injury status, but the Chiefs have been dreadful against the pass allowing 243 yards per game to WRS and 2.5 TD's.
Kendall Wright (5900/5400): A better PPR play for DK, but at home vs Buf who is allowing almost 200 yards and 2 TDs a game to opposing WRs.
WR Value
Kamar Aiken (5800/3800): With Steve Smith likely out, Aiken becomes the No. 1 option in the Ravens' passing game vs. the Browns, with a banged up Joe Haden.
Willie Snead (5300/3000): A great punt-play here. We know about WRs against the Eagles and Snead has become the Saints' No. 1 WR option. Snead has at least six targets and four catches in each of his last three games.
TE Plays
Charles Clay (5700/4100): TEN is 7th worst against the TE in PPR leagues and Clay has been a beast of late, catching everything with Watkins banged up.
Zach Ertz (5000/2900): NO 3rd worst against the TE in PPR leagues, if you want to gamble. Ertz has to score a TD eventually, right? Why not now?
DEF Plays
Patriots (4700/3300): Brandon Weeden and the Cowboys off a bye week. Gimme the Pats.
