Week 17: Eagles Studs And Duds

By Andrew Porter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The Eagles ended their season on Sunday with a hollow 34-26 win over the Giants, completing a second-consecutive 10-6 season. However, the 2014 season ends without a trip to the postseason.

Duds

3. Riley Cooper

Cooper has been consistently unimpressive all season long, and Sunday was no exception. Cooper caught just two of three targets for 37 yards.

2. Darren Sproles

Early in the season Sproles was a dynamic, game-changing play-maker for the Birds, but as the season progressed Sproles' impact continued to diminish. On Sunday, Sproles had just three catches and one carry---not that it's his fault. You hope for that big, explosive play with Sproles, which did not come.

1. Jaylen Watkins

Sunday was Watkins' first NFL game and there were a lot of positives from it. He battled all day and showed unique athleticism at times. Ultimately, though, he got on a deep ball to Reuben Randle, missed a tackle on a completion that went for 24 yards, and fell down on an Odell Beckham 63-yard touchdown.

Studs

3. Nate Allen

Allen sealed the game with a late interception on Eli Manning, his team-leading fourth of the season.

2. Mark Sanchez

Sanchez 23-36 for 292 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Sanchez was 4-4 as the starting quarterback and set a franchise record by completing 64.1% of his passes this season.

1. Jordan Matthews

Matthews' improved upon his already impressive rookie season by catching eight balls for 105 yards and another touchdown in the season finale. It was Matthews' third 100-yard game, making him just the fourth Eagles rookie ever with at least three 100-yard games in a season.

Matthews finished the season ranked second all-time among Eagles rookies with 67 receptions, second with 872 yards, and tied for second with eight touchdowns.
