Wednesday's Child: Traquan

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Sixteen-year-old Traquan loves being outdoors.
"Skating, ice skating, swimming, fishing, climbing trees, free-running," he says, adding, "taking apart anything with wheels and putting it back together."
Traquan says he'd like to go into the military some day, but for now he's looking for a forever family. And he tells Gloria Hochman, of the National Adoption Center based in Philadelphia, that trust is very important to him.
(Hochman:) "So, you would need a family that doesn't let you down -- somebody that could earn your trust?"
(Traquan:) "You could say that. You could definitely say that. But then again, it takes time."
Hochman says this is an important time for Traquan to find a family.
"It's not easy for a teenager," Hochman notes. "When you get to be 16 and you don't have a permanent family, you can imagine that that's very difficult for someone. Traquan is a terrific young man who would make a family accustomed to dealing with teenagers very happy."
