PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Sixteen-year-old Shantell loves reading, camping and playing games on her cell phone.

She blushes when her social worker, Kristen Ames, points out that she also likes spending time her her boyfriend.

"He'll push her in her wheelchair and do little wheelies with her wheelchair and go down the hallway doing wheelies."

Shantell wants to be a nurse when she grows up, "because my grandmother was a nurse. And I just want to help people and give them medicine."

Social worker Ames says Shantell doesn't let her cerebral palsy keep her from doing what she loves.

"She's always trying to find different things she can do on her own. And that's something that her foster parents are working on with her now -- is finding things that she can do independently."

Ames says Shantell needs a forever home that is wheelchair accessible. And Shantell says she would love a dog.
