Wednesday's Child: Muhammad

By Larry Kane

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Thirteen-year-old Muhammad loves watching basketball -- and wants to go pro some day.

"(I want to) either play sports," he says, "or (be an) engineer."

So, while he's working on his moves on court -- he's working hard in the classroom.

"I like cars," Muhammad says, "and I like to build things."

His raw materials these days: LEGOs. But he's already designing his hot rod of the future.

"It would be red, powerful, fast," Muhammad explains, "and it would probably be a Lamborghini."

To achieve his dreams, Gloria Hochman from the Philadelphia-based National Adoption Center says Muhammad needs a permanent family.

"He would be a terrific source of energy and fun and caring to a family," Hochman says, "because he himself is a very caring young man."

For more information about adopting Muhammad or any other child, go to the National Adoption Center's  web site, www.adopt.org, or call 215-735-9988.
