Wednesday's Child: Marcelle

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Eleven-year-old Marcelle has an active imagination. He loves mystery books and playing with Legos.
"I can build little men -- I make them do dances and they look like they have saggy pants," he says. "Also, I made a spaceship myself without using the manual. It's about six inches."
He also loves playing video games, especially those with race cars.
His social worker, Tamara Reddick, thinks Marcelle would thrive in a family that can keep him organized.
"He does well in school, so I think that's a tribute to the structure. Where there's structure, he seems to do well," Reddick says.
Marcelle adds that he'd love older siblings -- and maybe even a dog.
Gloria Hochman, of the National Adoption Center, based in Philadelphia, says that finding a family for someone Marcelle's age is crucial.
"He needs a family that can encourage him and be there for him and watch him grow up, "she says. "Eleven years old is a critical time in a child's life. It's when they really need the guidance. They are on the cusp of adolescence and, as all of us know, that's when issues about identity start arising. And Marcelle really needs that loving, caring family."
