Wednesday's Child: Loretta

By Larry Kane
Produced by Timothy McLaughlin

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Loretta loves to sing gospel music.

She says even though she's 18 years old, she hasn't given up hope of finding a forever family.

"Life doesn't have a time frame on goals and successes," she says. "It's just your tenaciousness and willingness to get there -- however long it takes."

She wants to be a doctor -- and to work with children.

Gloria Hochman, from the Philadelphia-based National Adoption Center, says Loretta wants a place to call home.

"She knows that a family is important to her and that it will make a difference in the way she grows up," Hochman says, "and help her continue to mature into adulthood and live the productive kind of life she wants to live."

For more information about adopting Loretta or any other child, go to the National Adoption Center's  web site, www.adopt.org, or call 215-735-9988.
