Weather: Quiet Pattern To End 2014

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- As we enter the final days of 2014, quiet weather will be the story.

The most active weather for the next several days is actually happening this morning. A cold front draped to the south is responsible for clouds and even some light showers across Delaware and extreme southern New Jersey. While those locations will remain stuck in the clouds this afternoon, areas further to the north can expect to see some sunshine mixing in.

Temperatures that have been oh so mild for late December will begin to revert back to normal. Although Monday will still be above average - in the mid to upper 40s - the remainder of the week will be confined to the 30s, before a brief moderation by the coming weekend.

On the horizon, the next chance of wet weather comes later in the weekend.

Until then, expect to ring in the New Year with some dry weather.
