WEATHER: Light Snow, Then More Wind
By Geoff Bansen
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Another cold day for the Delaware Valley. But hey, it could always be worse, right???
Light snow is causing some unease across the Delaware Valley. Fear not; it will all be over soon.
A long squall line of light to moderate snow extending NE to SW will quickly cross the region this morning. Expect only a dusting in most spots, with slightly higher accumulations up in the Poconos. Skies will give way to some sunshine by the afternoon, but unfortunately, that pesky, biting wind will be back throughout the day. Despite being warmer than yesterday, temperatures are going to be held down once again, feeling more like 20s than 30s.
Bright sunshine will kick off the weekend, but even with diminished winds it will feel much like it did on Thursday: COLD! Highs will struggle to break out of the teens. Sunday will thankfully feel much better. Highs will be in the 30s under a mixture of sun and clouds. Looking ahead to next week, a wintry mixture is looking likely for Monday, with a growing concern for some icy conditions. Tuesday and Wednesday look mainly quiet before another potential disturbance next Thursday.
Have a great weekend!
