Weather: First Precipitation Of 2015 Coming This Weekend
By Geoff Bansen
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A quiet day end to the work week, but this weekend we will see our first precipitation of 2015.
Sun will mix with some clouds on Friday, with seasonable temperatures in the low 40s.
Clouds will thicken on Saturday morning as rain moves in by the early afternoon. Because of the increased timing, the Lehigh Valley and Poconos are likely to see some brief snow and mixing before quickly changing to all rain; temperatures will be on the rise through the day and night, and right into Sunday morning.
It's going to be so mild on Sunday, we could even flirt with the record of 68 set in 1950! Unfortunately, rain on Sunday will inhibit the ability to enjoy the temperatures from outside.
The warm temps will then leave almost as quickly as they came. The week ahead will be great for winter lovers, and can be summed up in two words: windy and cold. Sunshine returns on Monday, but highs won't escape the 30s. Add in the wind chills and it will feel more like the 20s during the first full week of 2015.
As for snow? Tuesday will bring a chance for some light snow showers, but there are no significant storms on the horizon.
