WEATHER BLOG: If We're Dreaming, Don't Wake Us
By Carol Erickson
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - FINALLY a great looking weekend day!
After being blown sideways on Saturday with winds that reached almost 40 miles an hour, the weather calms down today. High pressure sits on top of us and keeps all weather elements well behaved. But it too has to move on eventually, and that eventually comes with some bad timing.
After a Sunday with sun, much lighter winds and temperatures at the seasonal norm of 60, the high will bid farewell tonight and forget to lock the door. Low pressure comes sneaking in overnight and forces its ways on us.
Clouds build on Monday, with precipitation following by afternoon from a Southern soaker on a northward mission. The later in the day we go on Monday, the heavier the rain is likely to become in spots. The good news, tomorrow's low follows today's high pressure outta here, and the weather sings a happier song by the second half of Tuesday and the rest of the week (fingers crossed).
