WEATHER BLOG: From Drying Out To Coastal Storm

By Carol Erickson

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Like a hairdryer blowing those wet strands, gusty winds will help Saturday's inch of rain evaporate from the ground today. Good thing, since another soaking rain comes in starting very early on Tuesday.

A coastal system (don't you just cringe at those words?) will be impacting us slowly. It will move in late on Monday night and continue through Tuesday, and it won't be totally through with us until later on Wednesday.

Bottom line and Tweetable: "track, intensity not set yet, rain likely, some areas north and west could see some snow." Is that 140 characters? Don't bother counting, I didn't either. Just know that Monday brings us the early clouds from this likely Tuesday Nor'easter, and then start counting the 1 to 3 inches of rain possible.

We'll be alerting to all the impacts, because that is what we do in the CBS3 Eyewitness Weather Center!
