WEATHER: Arriving Today: Winter's Many Faces

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Every possible type of winter precipitation takes aim on the Delaware Valley as we move through the day and night. Snow is likely first through the evening before a push of warmer air arrives from the south. That feature has its evil twin side as it can result in sleet and freezing rain through the overnight and beyond, especially but not exclusively, towards the north as the day begins on Monday.
A Winter Weather Advisory covers the Philadelphia area from Lancaster County to Atlantic County from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. Monday. Watch for a trace of ice and about an inch of snow and sleet.
A Winter Storm Warning runs from 7 p.m. to 1 p.m. through Berks and Lehigh Counties and adjacent areas for up to 3 to 6 inches of snow and the possibility of freezing rain.
In the Poconos, where the snow will last longer and temperatures will be colder, expect around 6 plus inches of snow and sleet with a Winter Storm Warning from 7 p.m. until 4 p.m.
Temperatures on Monday through Philadelphia reach the mid to perhaps upper 30's, but the actual temperature of the ground can be different (and lower), leading to the formation of ice, especially overnight and early in the day on Monday.
