Weather: All Aboard The Clipper Train!

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Starting tomorrow, the Delaware Valley will be stuck in an alternating pattern of snow and bitter cold.
But at least we can all enjoy a quiet day on Wednesday. Mainly sunny skies will mix with a few fair-weather clouds later this afternoon. with highs in the upper 30s. The first in a 'train' of clipper systems will the approach later tonight, and bring with it a few snow showers during the day on Thursday. Any accumulations will be very limited for the most part, a coating to a localized inch.
Once that system departs, the cold really digs in for Friday. Coupled with a chilly northwest breeze, let's just say the outdoors will not be the place to be on Friday. On Valentine's Day Saturday, the thermometer will rebound a bit, but we'll have yet another clipper system to deal with. This one should also bring nothing more than light snow, with minor accumulations. After that moves out, arctic air will invade the region - again. Sunday's temperatures have the potential to be the coldest we've seen in over a year! January 24th 2014, to be exact, when the high temperature was a bone-chilling 19 degrees.
So far, kudos to you, Mr. Groundhog.
