PWD working to fix water main break on Roosevelt Boulevard

Portion of Roosevelt Boulevard reopens after water main break in Northeast Philly

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The inner lanes of Roosevelt Boulevard between Grant Avenue and Welsh Road are closed in both directions as Philadelphia Water Department crews try to fix a water main break.

The 16-inch water main break happened at 3 a.m. near Goodnaw Street and the Boulevard and temporarily closed part of the road on Thursday morning.

It reopened to traffic, but now the inner lanes are closed while crews work to fix the break.

PWD said in a release that the water main is shut off.

It's unclear when the inner lanes will reopen to traffic.
