Water Main Break Forces SEPTA Detours

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Some Philadelphia residents had their water shut off as crews work on a water main break in the East Mount Airy section of the city.
A water department spokeswoman says a 12 inch main broke on the 6600 block of Stenton Avenue near East Sharpnack Street.
Officials say the main has been shut off and 10 properties right now are without service. No timetable for when the repair work will finish.
There are traffic issues because of the break. Stenton is closed between Sharpback and Hortter Streets. SEPTA bus routes "L" and 18 are also being detoured until further notice.
