Vineland Police: Ex-Boyfriend Charged With Homicide After Bodies Of Missing Mom, Baby Recovered

VINELAND, NJ (CBS) – Police in Vineland, New Jersey say a 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged with two counts of homicide after the bodies of a missing mother and her three-month-old baby were recovered late Tuesday night in Cumberland County.

Ricardo Santiago voluntarily turned himself in to authorities yesterday, police say.

Officials say 34-year-old Neidy Ramirez and her daughter Genesis were last seen on Friday, November 27.

Police say Santiago does have a five-year-old child with Neidy, but he was not the father of Genesis.

Ramirez was last seen Friday in an area laundromat, according to police.

They believe Santiago is the only suspect.

"They were co-parents and it appears there was some sort of dispute going on."

Santiago is lodged in Cumberland County jail on $1 million cash bail.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for Ramirez's family and funeral costs.
