Villanova Fans Rejoice After Win Over Miami

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Nova Nation is sweeping across the Delaware Valley, as they played in the Sweet 16 on Thursday night to move forward in the NCAA Tournament to the Elite 8.

Inside Field House Bar in Center City, hundreds of devoted fans watched their Wildcats battle the University of Miami Hurricanes.

"For them to do well, it means a lot, but I've stood with them in good times and bad times," said one Villanova fan.

Alum Kristen says Nova Nation is in her blood.

"I've been watching Villanova since I was a kid, my dad went to Villanova and so I've been a life long fan," she explained.

The same is true for Tim, a senior at Villanova.

"I have been a fan since my middle school days, my uncle went to Villanova," he said.

For Danny, there was a little more riding on the game against the Hurricanes

"I was chosing between Villanova and Miami when I was going into college, so this sort of determines did I make the right decision," he said.

And after the Wildcats win?

"I am just the craziest fan ever, I would say."
