Verizon Wireless Texting Outage Resolved After Customers Unable To Send Texts

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Verizon customers nationwide reported issues with their wireless service on Tuesday, but it has since been resolved. Many said they were unable to send or receive text messages.
Verizon said in a statement that engineers were able to resolve the issue.
"We experienced an issue impacting texting services for some customers this morning. Our engineers were able to identify and resolve the issue quickly. Service is now fully restored," the company said.
Customers took to Twitter Tuesday morning to report the issue.
"@verizon my texts won't send sos," tweeted one user.

"I know how concerning it can be when your texting is not working fully. We are aware of an issue impacting texting services for some customers. Our engineers are aware of the issue and are working diligently to resolve it," tweeted Verizon.
