Two Men Charged In Police-Involved Shooting In Southwest Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Authorities have charged two men in connection with a police-involved shooting in Southwest Philadelphia.
Fifty-year-old Desmond Abernathy and 47-year-old Curt Joseph are facing multiple charges stemming from the May 3 incident.
Police responded to the 5300 block of Grays Avenue for a reports of shots fired in the air.
Police say Abernathy ignored orders to drop his weapon and then fired at officers.
Officers returned fire and struck Abernathy in the leg.
He remains hospitalized in stable condition.
