"We have over a hundred thousand tons of salt stockpiled at our 35 stockpiles throughout the region," Blaum told KYW Newsradio."So PennDOT is ready for the snow."

The local district also has more than 400 trucks available to go out.

In South Jersey, they've actually gone one better.

NJ DOT spokesman Steve Schapiro says, "We actually added some capacity to our salt storage facilities. We also added a number of brine applicators we have available to pre-treat the roads."

Salt orders have been increased by 50 percent across New Jersey.

And in northern Delaware, they actually have someone in the Press Office they call "the snow guy" who specializes in everything winter.

"We're as ready as we can be," says DelDOT spokesman Jim Westhoff. "All of our vehicles are getting inspected and they look terrific and our salt stockpiles are full.

Delaware has 55,000 tons of salt on hand. And all three states can order more if they need it.
