Tow Truck Driver Pinned Between Two Vehicles In Delaware County

COLLINGDALE, Pa. (CBS) – A tow truck driver was injured after he got trapped while attempting to free a tractor-trailer from trolley tracks in Delaware County.

It happened around 9 p.m. Sunday at Woodlawn Avenue and North Street in Collingdale.

Police say the driver a tractor-trailer lost control of the vehicle and became wedged in the trolley tracks.

Authorities say a tow truck was attempting to pull the vehicle from the tracks when the operator became pinned between the tractor-trailer and his truck.

He was taken to Presbyterian Hospital with injuries to his back and neck.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.
