With 92 acres of beautiful gardens, the Morris Arboretum is a wonderful spot to spend Mother's Day with the family. Begin the holiday with brunch at the Compton Café. Offering dishes made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients under Chef Josh Hunter, the café will host a buffet brunch with seatings at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Sunday, May 11. The menu will include options such as ham, omelet and egg stations, bagels, salmon, pastries, caramel French toast, bacon, sausage and more. Along with coffee, tea and juice, complimentary mimosas will be available to guests with a valid ID. Tickets must be bought in advance and cost $32.50 for adults and $12 for children under the age of 12. Arboretum members may purchase discounted tickets for $26 and $10. Tickets for the Morris Arboretum are required.

With breathtaking flowers, extraordinary fountains and opulent architecture, an afternoon at Longwood is a wonderful way to spend Mother's Day. To make it even more special, enjoy brunch in the ballroom of the main conservatory. Events such as this are not typically open to the public, making it a real treat. The buffet brunch will be held on both Saturday and Sunday, May 10 and May 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with live music by flute duo Monica Buffington and Lynne Cooksey from noon to 3 p.m. Highlights of the brunch include Longwood Gardens' famous mushroom soup, a meatloaf station, stir fry and omelets made to order, a kids station, desserts and more. Tickets are priced at $60 per person for ages 12 and over, $32 for children ages five to 11 and $5 for children ages one to four, with discounted prices for Longwood Gardens Members. All mothers will be given a rose as a small gift. In addition, Longwood Gardens' fine dining restaurant 1906 will be serving weekend brunch as usual. Reservations will go quickly for the entire weekend, so be sure to call or place reservations using OpenTable now. Admission to Longwood Gardens is included in the ticket price.

Located in Society Hill, M Restaurant at the Morris House Hotel makes you feel like you're miles away from the city.
