Toddler Falls From Window At North Philadelphia Home

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Like any child, four-year-old Ikija Hall loves snow.
She woke up in the middle of the night when flurries started coming down.
"She said she opened the window and she wanted to see the snow," said mother Ikita Williams.
Ikita Williams and her husband put their daughter in bed around 9 p.m. Sunday, but by 12:30 a.m. neighbors came knocking on their door on the 1800 block of Susquehanna Avenue in North Philadelphia.
"We were like, 'What's going on?' and he was like, 'Somebody fell out the window.' And I'm like, 'What do you mean?' And I ran upstairs to her bedroom and I didn't see her," said Williams.
Neighbors tell Williams her daughter fell on the grass near the concrete steps.
"My heart was pounding when she fell out the window, really fast. I didn't know what to do. I was panicking," said Williams.
Ikija was taken to the hospital, but miraculously didn't have any serious injuries from the two-story fall.
"No broken bones. She is walking right. Thank you God," said Williams.
Williams says she didn't know the window's lock wasn't working, but has since fixed it.
"It's locked now, she can't open it anymore."
Police are investigating, but they are treating this as an accident.
"I'm just happy she is alive."
Alive to see another snow day.
