Tiger Woods: 'I'm Playing In Masters'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Tiger Woods has announced he will play in this year's Masters, which begins on Thursday.

"I'm playing in the Masters," Woods announced Friday on his website. "It's obviously very important to me, and I want to be there. I've worked a lot on my game and I'm looking forward to competing. I'm excited to get to Augusta and I appreciate everyone's support."

It will be two months before Woods has played on the PGA Tour, before playing in the Masters. Woods, a four-time Masters champion has not played since he withdrew due to back stiffness during round one of the Farmers Insurance Open on February 5th.

Woods' last victory at Augusta National was in 2005. He finished fourth in 2013 and 2011. Woods has fallen to the No. 104 player in the world, the first time he has been out of the top-100 since 1996.

He has not won since the 2013 World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational.
