Thieves Use Baby Stroller To Steal $5K In Equipment From Work Truck In East Oak Lane

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are searching for two suspects who used a baby stroller to steal $5,000 in work equipment.

The incident happened at about 1:30 a.m. on April 27th in the 400 block of Acker Street in the city's East Oak Lane section.

According to investigators, the suspects, who were wearing flashlights on their heads, were initially going through trash looking for items. The suspects were also pulling on car doors to see if they were open.

Police say after a few minutes, the suspects turned their attention towards a work truck.

The suspects began removing tools from a work box located in the rear of the vehicle.

Investigators say the suspects stole seven shingle nail guns, three framing nail guns, one level, screws, six hose connectors and four 50′ extension cords. The approximate value of the stolen items was $5,000.

The suspects are described as white or light complected Hispanic males, medium build, wearing dark-colored clothing, flashlights on their heads and one suspect was pushing a baby stroller.
