'The Daily Show With Trevor Noah' Will Broadcast From UPenn For DNC

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia has been home to many major events. From the 2015 Papal Visit to Jay-Z's yearly Made in America festival, the City of Brotherly Love has seen its fair share of stars.

So it should be no surprise when the Democratic National Convention comes to town at the end of July, celebrities will be all over the city enjoying for only a moment, the sights we get to bask in daily.

One of those celebrities, however, will be broadcasting right from the Annenberg Center's Zellerbach Theatre on Penn's Campus.

Pretty cool, right?

Comedy Central's The Daily Show with Trevor Noah will be at the theater, located on 3680 Walnut street, for a week of shows, Tuesday July 26 through Friday July 29.

Penn students have access to a special ticket lottery from April 14th to April 28th, offering 800 students guaranteed seats and VIP entry.

Executive Vice President of the University of Pennsylvania, Craig R. Carnaroli released a statement about Noah's visit, saying in part:

"The University of Pennsylvania is proud to welcome The Daily Show to our campus during the Democratic National Convention. We hope visitors, students, and local residents will enjoy the show and be part of this exciting event."

This will be the second time 'The Daily Show' has made its way to Philadelphia to cover the convention, the first time was 16 years ago, in 2000, for the Republican National Convention.

Tickets for the tapings are free and only available through the dedicated "Daily Show" convention ticket website. Tickets for the general public in Philadelphia can be requested via dailyshow.com/DNCtickets.
