Two teens shot outside a Wawa in Port Richmond
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Philadelphia police say two teenage boys were shot outside of a Wawa on Aramingo Avenue around 1:30 Wednesday morning. Investigators say the victims are both 15 years old.
One of them was in an SUV when he was shot by someone in another car. The victim ran into the store to get help.
When police and medics arrived, they found one of the victims inside the Wawa conscious, walking, and talking despite being shot in the arm and the torso.
Police detectives are piecing together what happened thanks to surveillance footage from a nearby business.
"Now we don't know at this time if the 15-year-old was driving the vehicle or was just a passenger in the vehicle. But the 15-year-old exited the vehicle from the driver's side," said Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small.
Officers added there are multiple cameras in the area, not only at the Wawa but at other nearby businesses as well.
Right now they don't know the motive behind the shooting and they don't have a description of the shooter's vehicle.
