Target Recalls Menorahs Due To Melting Hazard

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)—Target is reminding shoppers about previously recalled menorahs due to a melting hazard.

The recall was announced back in May, but the company is reissuing the recall as people begin dusting off their decorations for the season.

The retail giant says nearly 3,000 menorahs are being recalled.

There have been eight reports of melting, including three reports of a fire.

Target says the recall involves clear acrylic Hanukkah menorahs in a pyramid design, that are 10.5 inches long, 1.2 inches wide and 2.3 inches high.

The product, with model number 240-14-0169, was sold nationwide from October 2015 through December 2015 for about $20

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled menorahs and return them to Target for a full refund.
