Police: Target Burglars Cut Through Door, Tried To Escape Through Air Vent

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police apprehended two suspects at the scene of an overnight burglary attempt at a Target store in Northeast Philadelphia.
Authorities say two men entered the store on the Roosevelt Boulevard through a three foot by three foot hole sawed through a steel door in the back of the Target store.
Once inside, surveillance video captured Daniel Bethea, 36, and Daniel McMillan Jr., 38, attempting to steal electronics. Those video feeds are monitored off-site, and the monitor called police.
Police were able to surround the store and stationed officers on the roof, while a K9 unit was sent inside the store to search for the suspects, who tried, but failed to make an escape through an air vent.
The suspects were caught hiding inside of a ventilation vent on the roof of the store.
Police say Bethea was in possession of a back pack containing a flashlight, a battery operated cutting tool with grinding disks and a portable walkie talkie.
Authorities says Bethea and McMillan are possible suspects for numerous Target Burglaries in Chester, Montgomery and Bucks counties.
Police say nothing appears to have been taken in this incident.
Both men are charged with burglary, criminal conspiracy, criminal trespass and other related offenses.
