Employee Assaulted During Armed Robbery Of Bensalem Restaurant
BENSALEM, Pa. (CBS) -- Police are investigating the armed robbery of a restaurant near a mall in Bucks County early Friday morning.
The incident happened at about 2:45 a.m. at Bar Louie in the 600 block of Rockhill Drive near the Neshaminy Mall in Bensalem.
According to the Bensalem Police Department, a Bar Louie employee exited the rear door of the restaurant and was confronted by three to five black or Hispanic males wearing ski masks and dark-colored clothing.
The suspects, armed with a gun, knife and stun gun, forced the employee back into the restaurant where additional employees were confronted.
During the robbery, the employees were forced into a walk-in freezer and one of the suspects struck an employee with a stun gun.
The suspects gained access to a safe and stole an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspects then stole of the employee's yellow Ford Mustang. It was later recovered, unoccupied, in the 3000 block of Derry Road in Northeast Philadelphia.
It was reported that one of the suspects went by the name of "Taz."
The employee sustained a minor injury.
