Suspect Wanted In Terrifying Daylight Carjacking Outside Gas Station In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with a daylight carjacking in Philadelphia Wednesday.
The incident happened at about 3:15 p.m. in the parking lot of the Shell gas station in the 6200 block of N. Broad Street.
According to investigators, the 24-year-old victim and a friend were purchasing gas when they were approached by the suspect.

The suspect engaged the victim in a conversation by asking him about getting a ride.
The suspect then entered the rear seat of the victim's car and pulled out a handgun.
The victim and his friend got out of the car and called police.
The suspect then got into the driver's seat and drove away. The victim's car is described as a 2014 white Toyota Corolla with a Pennsylvania license plate number JNR3637.
The suspect is described as a black male, 20-30 years-of-age, 6'0″-6'2″, with a medium build, short hair, trimmed beard and mustache and a tattoo under his eye, possibly of a teardrop.
He was wearing a black/orange Flyers jersey with #28 on the back and the name "Giroux" with dark-colored pants and brown boots.
