Study: Women Who Have Appendix Or Tonsils Removed May Be More Likely To Become Pregnant

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A study has found that women who have had their appendix or tonsils out may have a higher pregnancy rate.
Researchers in Great Britain looked at the medical records of more than 530,000 pregnant women.
They found those who had either organ removed had a higher pregnancy rate than women who did not.
The rate went up even more for women who had both removed, researchers say.
Scientists are not sure what's behind the correlation.
