Strong Winds Topple Steeple Of Northeast Philly Church
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - If the cold weather across the Delaware Valley isn't bad enough, the region is also dealing with damaging winds.
On Sunday, the 115-year-old steeple at the Burholme Baptist Church on the 900 block of Cottman Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia was knocked over by powerful gusts.
No injuries were reported in this incident.
Heavy winds Sunday also resulted in power outages throughout the area and in Delaware County, a tree fell right through a home.
