Crews Continue Working To Remove Snow From Neighborhood Streets In Phila.
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – City officials continue a massive operation to remove snow from neighborhood streets in Philadelphia.
Milder temperatures are helping street crews in their ongoing snow removal operation.
With the major roads and highways now out of the way, streets department plows are burrowing deep into neighborhoods.
"Glad to see them here," said a resident.
Neighbors came out to watch a couple of Streets Department plows clear the snow along Master Street in North Philadelphia Tuesday.
"It was a whole lot of people getting stuck and I was getting them out and the more people were coming in here they were getting stuck. It was a challenge," said a resident.
"It would've been here for a month. It was up that white line on that pole behind my truck. I couldn't go anywhere. They came and they moved everything out of the way," said another resident.
This massive dig out will continue throughout the city, most likely for the remainder of the week.
