Storms Cause SEPTA Rail Suspensions For Wednesday Morning Commute
By Mike Dougherty
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Tuesday's storms caused big problems on SEPTA rail lines Wednesday morning.
Downed trees and power outages caused suspensions on the Media-Elwyn Regional Rail line. The Paoli Thorndale Line was shut down between Thorndale and Malvern, but resumed operating later in the morning.
Service is operating between Radnor Station and 69th Street Transportation Center only on the Norristown High Speed line, service is suspended between Radnor and Norristown.
Around 8:30 a.m., SEPTA released an update on the status of the Regional Rails, saying all lines may experience delays of up to 15 minutes.
Bus routes 37, 109, 113, 114, 117, 118, 119 have resumed service to Chester Transportation Center. Passengers may experience delays there while full service is restored.
