South Phila. Billboards Promote Reward For Info in 2013 Murder

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Two new billboards have gone up in South Philadelphia in efforts to find the murderer in an unsolved case from last year.
One billboard is above Tony Luke's, the cheesesteak shop near Front and Oregon, the other is at Ninth and Washington.
The billboards show a photo of 68-year-old Don Ly, who was murdered April 18, 2013, near Fifth and Oregon.
"This case is over a year old," notes John Apeldorn, head of the Citizens Crime Commission of the Delaware Valley. "We all know that relationships deteriorate -- there might be a friend or ex-friend out there. Here's an opportunity to come forward and make things happen."
And, Apeldorn adds, perhaps make some money in the bargain. There's a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
