LOWER PROVIDENCE, Pa. (CBS) — A section of a busy road in a Montgomery County community was still closed for clean-up a day after a fiery tractor-trailer and tanker truck crash.

PennDOT crews and Lower Providence police were on South Park Avenue, which was blocked between Falcon and Eagleville Roads.

There's no timetable for an opening, but clean up efforts underway.

The tanker truck and a tractor-trailer collided on the road Monday morning, killing the driver of the tanker.

Authorities identified the victim as 40-year-old Jermon Jeffers, of Stowe (Montgomery County), Pa.

Naomi, who lives where the crash happened, says her yard was damaged but she could only think of the victim.

"I'm just praying for the family of that deceased man. Don't know who he is, doesn't matter, he's a life."

A cosmetic makeup powder, which spilled out from one of the trucks involved in yesterday's crash, was spread out on part of this road.

A PennDOT foreman said they are using dish detergent and water for the cleanup. They tried different methods yesterday but a chemist they reached out to told them to try the detergent, which they initially tested on a smaller scale.

Lower Providence police chief Francis Carroll was optimistic that South Park Avenue will be reopened by 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.

"Because of the texture of the product, even with all of the steps we are taking to remove it from the roadway surface, it's still down into the surface. When you walk on that, it literally feels like you're walking on a wax floor," Chief Carroll said earlier today.

That powder was on one truck and sewage was on another.

Crews were working quickly to clean up the mess because it was interfering with the police investigation.  Eyewitness News has learned police want to determine if there was any criminal negligence.
