Peco spokesperson Ben Armstrong had some good news and some bad news:

"We would not be providing a break on customer bills due to the weather.  Obviously we would not be charging customers for using energy while their service is interrupted," meaning you could expect your bill to be a little lower than usual because you didn't have power for a couple of days.

"The budget billing is set on about the previous three months' worth of usage, and it's adjusted throughout the year," Armstrong explains.  "So if you have a decreased period, your budge t billing amount would be adjusted.  However we wouldn't expect it to be too much of a significant impact if you were out for two, three, four days."

Armstrong reminds folks who are struggling to pay their energy bills to call Peco.  He says they work with customers all the time to help keep the lights and heat on.
