Small Plane Crashes In Berks County

AMITY Twp., Pa., (CBS) -- Two people were reportedly taken to the hospital after a small plane crashed in Berks County Wednesday.

Authorities say the small aircraft went down shortly before 4 p.m. at Bert's Airport near Birdsboro.

CBS 3 is told the plane caught fire and was destroyed before firefighters arrived.

There is no word on the victims' conditions at this time.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating and says the National Transportation Safety Board will determine probable cause.
