Slight Risk Of Severe Weather Today

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening across the Delaware Valley.
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a 'Slight Risk' of severe weather across much of the area today including Center City Philadelphia.
An already moist and increasingly unstable air mass will be further primed for convection as a warm front traverses the Delaware Valley this afternoon.
Scattered storm activity will likely commence first in our western counties early this afternoon with storm coverage expanding east into the evening.
The main threats will be damaging winds and hail though an isolated spin-up tornado cannot be ruled out.
