Sixers Now Favorited To Eclipse Consecutive Loss Record
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – It's hard to believe that in November, much of the conversation around the Sixers was that they might be "too good." 3-0 seems like a million years ago, doesn't it?
On the heels of their 21st straight loss, a franchise record, the Sixers are now favorites to eclipse the 26-loss streak that the Cleveland Cavaliers set just three years ago.
According to odds recently posted by Bovada, the Sixers are 2/7 (-$350) favorites to lose at least a 27th straight game, they are 9/4 (+$225) to win a game before they break the record. That means you'd have to bet $350 to win $100 if you'd like to bet that the Sixers will break the record.
The Sixers are currently 1/3 to win at least one game over the course of the rest of this season. The over/under for their biggest loss for the rest of the season is 30.5.
Even with the 21 straight losses, the Sixers still have two more victories than the Bucks, who have the league's worst record.
