PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philly Pops today announced highlights of their upcoming 2015-2016 concert season.
Frank Giordano, president and CEO of the Philly Pops, noted one special, high-profile guest who will appear during this year's concert series.
"For the first time in a decade, Andrea Bocelli is coming back to Philadelphia," he said. "The Philly Pops present Andrea Bocelli (on) December 12th, which coincidentally is Frank Sinatra's birthday."
He says that particular show will be held at the Wells Fargo Center, and is sure to get folks into the holiday spirit.
"Andrea Bocelli will be a Christmas show, plus he'll be singing some Sinatra favorites," Giordano said, adding that this season will also be showcasing songs by Carole King and Billy Joel.
And, he noted, they'll include a new performance, called "Cirque Goes To The Movies."
"There will be acrobats hanging from the ceiling -- it will be remarkable: something that the Pops has never attempted before," he said.
